| Hi Parslad and welcome to the forum.
I haven't used the hw6915 but understand that it has a standard SiRF III compliant GPS chipset so is compatible with Sat Nav software such as TomTom and G.I.S. software such as Memory Map (although some of this may depend on where you are geographically located!).
What sort of problems are you encountering with set-up and what software are you using?
I found this review here of which page 5 discusses the GPS configuration
Hope this helps | | Logged |

| Thanks Graham
I've downloaded the free map from TomTom and I now understand that the GPS doesn't need to be set up. However I'm assuming that I'm out of range, so I will take it with me when I head across Scotland later this week.
I have been told that I need to get hold of the GPRS settings for O2/hw6915. O2 don't sell the phone and HP are a pain to get in touch with. When I connect to GPRSO2 etc, the iPAQ tells me that I am unable to connect. Maybe Pay & Go doesn't support GPRS?

| For Pay as You Go GPRS with an O2 SIM try this link.
The instructions are for a different phone but the input items should still be useful.
Let us know how you get on.
Good luck!

| Thanks again
I had a wee go at it last night. Some of the instructions didn't appear to apply to the hw6915, so no luck yet. I'll give it more time later this week and let you know how I get on. BTW, do you know the best way to get help from HP on this type of problem?

| For support I would try HP's own support forum or a third party forum such as the one on the specialist reseller Expansys.
If that doesn't work I find that using an online search engine like Google. MSN or Yahoo usually throws up good results if you play with some relevent search terms.

| you may get some clues here http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html
Ive always found gprs settings a bit frustrating. Also some devices are very bad at handling errors.
